                            Hardenable boron steels

                            Boron steel is a perfect base material for a variety of products, parts and components that require resistance against abrasive wear in combination with good toughness. SSAB Boron steels are also suitable for applications calling for high strength of complex structural components. The properties of SSAB Boron 30 after heat treatment ensure longer lifetime and opportunity to weight reduction. Good forming, bending, welding and cutting properties enable the manufacture of complex components and parts. Strip products can be delivered also in annealed condition, which offers opportunity for more demanding forming.

                            SSAB Boron 30 has been developed to be hardened either by heat treatment after workshop processing or by a direct hot forming and quenching process to obtain its final properties.

                            Hot rolled SSAB Boron 30 is delivered in hot rolled (as-rolled) condition as coils, slit coils, cut-to-length sheets and heavy plates.

                            Dimension Range

                            SSAB Boron 30 is available in thickness range 2.00-80.00 mm and widths up to 1800 mm as coils, slit coils and CTL and 3300 mm as plate. Lengths up to 16 meters as cut to length.
